Educational Qualification:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field. Experience:Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in RHEL/Ubuntu/Debian Operations and System engineering, with a strong emphasis on Automation. Proven experience in managing Linux Servers within a large scale Ubuntu/Debian/RHEL environment, showcasing solid administration skills. Expertise in integrating Ubuntu/RHEL infrastructure with Identity providers such as Active Directory and PAM, alongside knowledge of SSSD and Kerberos for modern authentication. Hands-on experience with Ansible Automation platform (formerly Tower) and CI/CD, with a proficiency in developing and scripting Ansible playbooks/roles for task automation in extensive IT infrastructures. Comprehensive knowledge in IT security and Cybersecurity practices. Strong communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with diverse teams.

Join Bosch Group as a Linux System Engineer specializing in RedHat Enterprise Linux Server, Ubuntu Server, and Cloud Services for our global operations.

  • Oversee the installation and upkeep of Linux Operating Systems and associated components within a large-scale RHEL/Ubuntu/Debian server infrastructure, leveraging automation to ensure optimal, secure, and efficient service operations.

  • Design and develop Ansible playbooks, scripts, and programming solutions for Automation, with a focus on continuous improvement in automation processes (CI/CD).

  • Adhere to the latest Security Standards and Requirements, implementing robust Security and Cybersecurity measures.

  • Create API-driven automation solutions.

  • Collaborate with 1st & 2nd level support teams to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve escalated technical issues.

  • Manage Incident, Problem, Change, and Configuration Management processes, continually enhancing these systems as required.

  • Ensure the hardening, patching, and upgrading of Linux Servers are executed effectively.

  • Address audit findings and IT risks, including remediation, progress tracking, and maintaining documentation.

  • Maintain high system availability and improve monitoring systems using tools like Icinga, Nagios, and Grafana.

  • Prepare and manage Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) documentation.

  • Consult and work with IT and DevOps teams on security best practices and requirements for Linux/Unix Operating systems in both On-Premises and Cloud environments.

  • Execute Host management, Golden image management, and Automation for cloud platforms.

  • Conduct hardware maintenance for x86 and Sparc hardware.

  • Coordinate storage, backup, and ESX administration tasks.

  • Enhance the visibility of the environment's security status.

  • Participate in Agile meetings to ensure project alignment and progress.
