The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and will be responsible for creating and managing database objects, tablespaces, tables, views, indexes, and collaborating with application teams to address design-related challenges.Key responsibilities include:Utilizing IBM DB2 utilities and commands such as UNLOAD, RELOAD, COPY, RECOVER, REORG, and RUNSTATS.Performing DB2 performance tuning and recovery operations.Employing tools like File Aid, QMF, SPUFI, and Platinum tools including Log Analyzer and RC Tools.Monitoring database health and conducting housekeeping activities.Participating in DB2 upgrades and disaster recovery drills.Additionally, experience with DB2 UDB DBA/LUW on Linux is preferred, as candidates will also need to perform routine database maintenance tasks, manage backups, and support application teams.Experience with IMS DBA on z/OS, including HISAM, HIDAM, and HDAM databases, is a plus, as is the ability to assist in high-severity incident resolution and database refresh activities.
