POSITION SUMMARY
As a Lifeguard at Minitab's aquatic facility, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety of all patrons by proactively preventing and effectively responding to emergencies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain vigilant surveillance of patrons within the aquatics facility and respond immediately to any emergencies to ensure their safety.
- Provide emergency care and treatment as necessary until emergency medical services arrive on the scene.
- Exhibit a professional demeanor and uphold a high standard of customer service at all times.
- Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned by management.
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE
- Current high school student or equivalent with 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
- Possession of a valid Red Cross Lifeguard certification or certification from a recognized training organization.
- Current certification in Red Cross CPR/AED.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations.
- Proficient in lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques.
- Knowledgeable in CPR, AED, and emergency medical procedures.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Demonstrate sensitivity and tact when interacting with individuals of varying physical capabilities.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Capacity to lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Proficient in English language (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Must possess working papers if under 18 years of age.
