As a Lead Teacher at Art Village Nursery, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the daily educational experiences of our young learners. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing engaging educational programs while overseeing the teaching assistants and nannies. You will be dedicated to fostering the intellectual, emotional, social, and physical growth of the children in a safe and nurturing environment.
- Provide exceptional physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care to children.
- Enhance children’s listening, language, and communication skills, while fostering a love for literature and imaginative play.
- Support the development of mathematical knowledge through hands-on, play-based learning.
- Expand children's horizons with technology and scientific exploration.
- Promote physical awareness through interactive games and activities.
- Organize and lead diverse developmentally appropriate activities including arts, music, dance, drama, storytelling, and imaginative play.
- Supervise and mentor teaching assistants and nannies for optimal classroom performance.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
- Encourage exploration and creativity by providing various materials and resources for learning and play.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and daily registers.
- Teach essential personal hygiene, nutrition, and social skills to children.
- Establish and reinforce classroom behavior expectations and procedures.
- Adhere to the established class timetable and curriculum.
- Prepare comprehensive weekly lesson plans aligned with school topics.
- Organize classroom materials and activities for daily learning.
- Adapt instructional methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of children, fostering inquiry and investigation.
- Set clear objectives for each lesson and communicate these effectively to children, demonstrating activities as needed.
- Conduct observations and evaluations of each child's performance, behavior, social development, and health.
- Compile termly reports on student progress and maintain portfolios of children’s work.
- Prepare lesson plans and materials for substitute teachers or assistants in the event of absences.
- Identify and address any emotional, developmental, or health concerns in collaboration with parents and specialists as needed.
- Engage with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and foster strong home-school partnerships.
