With offices in San Francisco, New York, Denver, London, Paris, Berlin, Sydney, and Mexico City, alongside a remote workforce across the US and Europe, we invite you to consider joining us in our journey!
The Role
Are you a technology enthusiast who enjoys building exceptional teams? As we expand our world-class engineering presence, we are establishing a new office in Mexico City and are on the lookout for our founding Engineering Technical Lead. This position offers the unique opportunity to not only build a team from the ground up but also to shape the culture of an entire office.
The Tech Lead will be a seasoned engineer responsible for guiding the technical vision of the team, ensuring alignment with other product areas, and maintaining high technical and operational standards. Hands-on coding will be a crucial aspect of this role.
You will report directly to the founding Engineering Manager in CDMX, collaborating with them, Engineering leadership, and Watershed’s co-founders to ensure the success of the new team in Mexico City. We have already established successful engineering teams across our offices in San Francisco, New York City, and London.
In this role, you will:
- Lead a co-located team of 4-8 engineers responsible for our Supply Chain product module.
- Collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager, Product Manager, and Designer to drive the team’s product and architectural vision.
- Work alongside peer tech leads and domain experts in the US and UK to align standards, roadmaps, and execution. Participate in our Technical Lead forum to guide our architecture and enhance our velocity.
- Act as a hands-on mentor for engineers tasked with leading the design and implementation of specific features or projects.
