About OLIX
At OLIX, we are pioneering the future of artificial intelligence infrastructure. With the rapid acceleration of AI, the demand for advanced technology outpaces current capabilities, leaving a significant gap in infrastructure. Our company is on a mission to revolutionize this field by developing the Optical Tensor Processing Unit (OTPU), which delivers unmatched performance and energy efficiency, setting a new standard for hardware.
Role Overview
As the Software Architect specializing in Hardware Integration, you will take on a pivotal role as the leading technical expert in the integration of hardware and software across the OTPU. You will oversee the entire lifecycle from pre-silicon development to post-silicon support, ensuring seamless collaboration across various components including ASIC, BMC, and photonic interconnects.
Key Responsibilities
Define Technical Vision: Collaborate with the Software Engineering Director to establish a forward-thinking technical strategy for the OTPU stack, maintaining architectural integrity throughout the development process.
Strategic Architecture Translation: Work alongside cross-functional teams to translate long-term business objectives into actionable architectural priorities, identifying key areas for technical investment.
Establish Architectural Standards: Formulate the principles, interface contracts, and standards for the organization, ensuring consistency across all teams involved in the development process.
Critical Decision-Making: Lead the technical decision-making processes at the intersection of hardware and software, including BSP and firmware architecture, ASIC validation strategies, BMC platform design, and interconnect fabric integration.
Influential Leadership: Foster alignment across engineering teams by leveraging your expertise and influence, rather than relying solely on authority.
