Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering, or Material Science Engineering. Minimum Experience Requirement: 48 months of experience working with aerospace structures, aircraft systems, First Article Inspection, Quality Systems, and Non-Destructive Evaluation. Special Requirement: Proficiency in NAS 410/SNT-TC-1A NDT Level II in UT, ET, and PT is mandatory.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design and implement inspection procedures that meet rigorous airline safety standards for cutting-edge aircraft manufacturing.
  • Develop comprehensive inspection plans based on engineering specifications, specializing in ultrasonic testing (UT) of composite materials crucial for aircraft integrity.
  • Create and document NDT procedures for ultrasonic and eddy current inspections to guarantee structural reliability, with a focus on certified aircraft inspection processes.
  • Conduct composite bond line inspections utilizing ultrasonic techniques, electromagnetic testing (ET), and liquid penetrant inspection (PT) for metallic components.
  • Collaborate with Material Review Board (MRB) teams to address nonconformance issues, offer insights on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and perform supplier evaluations to uphold stringent quality standards in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Mentor and train quality inspectors on advanced inspection methodologies and evaluation criteria, ensuring the team is equipped to meet demanding aerospace standards and support the development of safe, reliable aircraft systems.
