Experience in high-growth or scale-up environments. Proven track record in mentoring engineers and spearheading frontend or platform-level technical projects. Exceptional collaboration skills with Product, Design, Backend teams, and senior stakeholders. Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance the software development lifecycle and boost developer productivity.

As a Lead Principal Frontend Engineer at Omio, you will be instrumental in the evolution of our frontend platform, crafting intelligent and adaptive user experiences across web and mobile interfaces. Your leadership will guide complex frontend projects from inception to completion, influencing architectural choices and ensuring our applications are not only high-performing but also accessible and resilient. You will enable the integration of AI-driven features that create significant business value and enhance customer interactions.

This role merges hands-on frontend development with strategic platform leadership and cross-functional collaboration, working alongside Product, Design, Backend, and Data teams to actualize AI-enhanced experiences throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive comprehensive frontend solutions, overseeing user-facing experiences, the frontend platform, and middleware integrations.
  • Lead architectural decisions for frontend systems, guaranteeing scalability, performance, accessibility, and maintainability.
  • Design and refine the foundational elements of the frontend platform, including design systems and shared patterns.
  • Align engineering outcomes with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Manage frontend technical debt, balancing delivery speed with long-term platform sustainability.
  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives, ensuring clear ownership and collaboration among stakeholders.
  • Establish and advocate for frontend best practices, standards, and reusable components.
  • Engage in tech talks both internally and externally, showcasing Omio’s frontend and engineering culture.
  • Champion the use of AI tools and automation to reshape the design and delivery of frontend experiences.
