Team Description
Join our Sales People Team, a vital part of the broader EU GTM organization, and support one of SumUp’s fastest-growing business sectors. Our mission is to enable our expanding sales force to excel through robust leadership, scalable people foundations, and data-driven decision-making.
This team operates at the intersection of growth and performance, working directly with senior commercial leaders to architect the organizational structure, leadership layers, and talent strategies that propel SumUp’s growth. We blend strategic influence with practical execution, from creating scalable onboarding processes to generating data-driven performance insights that guide leadership decisions.
As the Lead People Partner, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our Sales organization. Collaborating closely with the VP of Sales, Country Heads, and regional People Partners, you will ensure the development of scalable structures, the nurturing of high-performing leaders, and the maintenance of a culture that attracts and retains top sales talent throughout Europe.

What You’ll Do
- Define and execute the People Strategy roadmap for Sales across European markets.
- Collaborate with Sales leadership to align organizational design, leadership layering, and workforce planning with business growth objectives.
- Drive operational excellence in onboarding, performance management, and leadership development.
- Coach and develop regional People Partners and Sales Leaders to enhance management capability and foster a performance-oriented culture.
- Work cross-functionally with Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, Legal, and the wider people team to ensure scalable, compliant, and impactful people practices.
- Benchmark compensation and talent models across markets, translating findings into strategic recommendations.
