Essential ResponsibilitiesDesign, train, and assess state-of-the-art models for May’s autonomous driving, simulation, and ML Platform stack. Utilize cutting-edge techniques in End-to-End driving, Vision Language Action (VLA), and World or Foundation model domains to tackle commercial-scale challenges. Lead small, cross-functional teams of engineers to push the boundaries of current technology. Establish data balance, training experiments, and evaluation practices for efficient training at petabyte scale. Skills and AbilitiesTo excel in this position, candidates should possess the following competencies:Proven experience in architecting and training VLA, MMLM, or Generative World Models for large commercial applications. Expertise in composing, processing, and characterizing large multi-modal datasets (>100TB). Ability to analyze and address long-tail failure cases in extensive models. Experience in leading teams of 2-3 engineers and conveying technical details to interdisciplinary leadership.
