Qualifications

Qualifications:Must reside in Indiana, preferably Northern Indiana. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Comprehensive understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, refrigeration, thermal and fluid systems, motors, lighting, and other commercial and industrial systems. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the energy efficiency or building efficiency sector. Proven ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects while adhering to deadlines and budget constraints. Excellent writing, interpersonal, presentation, and analytical skills. Ability to succinctly communicate complex ideas through conversation and emails. Comfortable managing workflows with varying degrees of uncertainty. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel. Willingness to travel locally, approximately 20% of the time. A genuine interest in sustainability and a commitment to making a positive environmental impact.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced engineering professional who specializes in custom and energy management Demand-Side Management (DSM) program engineering. In this pivotal role, you will equip our clients with the necessary support and resources to identify, quantify, and execute cost-effective energy efficiency projects.

Leveraging our expertise in energy efficiency, we continuously broaden our portfolio of clean energy solutions, assisting utilities in navigating increasingly complex challenges, including load flexibility, electrification, and carbon reduction. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to commercial and industrial clients, utility organizations, and program staff.
  • Conduct energy audits at client facilities to effectively identify, measure, and validate energy efficiency measures.
  • Deliver timely technical and programmatic feedback, actively listen to client needs, and set realistic expectations while fulfilling commitments.
  • Act as an advocate for energy efficiency projects, identifying barriers and proposing actionable solutions.
  • Support RI’s utility programs under the guidance of the Office Head or Program Administrator to achieve energy savings objectives.
  • Produce high-quality reports and spreadsheets with minimal quality control oversight.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Solicit feedback, champion change, and implement effective solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
