Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:8-12 years of relevant work experience is preferred. Demonstrated experience in leading large design engineering teams specializing in Grid Substation design within a global consultancy environment is preferred. Mandatory experience with HV Plant Design for large EHV Grid Substations. Experience working within design teams for Grid Utilities (e.g., National Grid, Transgrid, Powergrid) is highly desirable. Familiarity with international standards such as IEC, IEEE, ANSI, Australian Standards, and Middle Eastern codes is preferred. Prior design experience with GIS and AIS EHV substation HV Plant Primary design is advantageous. Chartership or Fellowship with IET or equivalent is highly favored. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in the English language are essential.

  • Provide specialized technical insights to studies and designs within your area of expertise.
  • Develop and implement study and design procedures that ensure high-quality, cost-effective outcomes for project teams.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables to uphold project integrity.
  • Prepare construction cost estimates and evaluate technical efforts required for projects.
  • Leverage your expertise in all phases of developing discipline components for the PS&E package.
  • Conduct thorough quality control reviews of design calculations and drawings.
  • Draft and refine technical specification sections.
  • Contribute to the development of engineering budgets and schedules to meet project requirements.
