Role Overview: Lead Electronics Engineer
The Lead Electronics Engineer will define and oversee the electronic architecture for Helsing's marine robotic systems. This person will guide projects from early concept through to validated, production-ready hardware. The position connects electronics directly with AI, software, navigation, and control systems, enabling advanced autonomous capabilities on Helsing's platforms.
What You Will Do
- Shape the electronic architecture for marine robotic systems from concept to production.
- Work with AI and software engineers to ensure hardware interfaces, sensor integration, and power systems support onboard inference and real-time autonomy.
- Collaborate with navigation and control engineers to integrate electronic subsystems that improve guidance, communication, and decision-making at sea.
- Partner with mechatronics and test engineers to ensure designs are manufacturable, validated, and reliable in operational environments.
- Provide technical leadership, making architectural decisions that balance scalability and cost-effectiveness across disciplines.
- Contribute to the development of platforms such as the SG-1 Fathom and the Lura AI system, supporting the defense of democratic nations.
