About the job
Join our dynamic consulting team at Newton Europe, where we tackle either intensive diagnostics or extensive, multi-year transformation programs, ensuring impactful delivery outcomes for our clients. Understanding our clients’ needs is paramount; it allows us to pinpoint the most significant areas for enhancement, craft tailored solutions, and collaborate closely with clients to implement these effectively and sustainably. Our work often requires us to be on-site with clients, which may involve traveling during the week.
As a Lead Consultant, you will oversee workstreams that typically generate around £2 million in value for our clients. Your responsibilities will include designing innovative solutions, establishing appropriate KPIs for yourself and your team, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will cultivate productive relationships with mid-level clients to ensure outstanding results.
Your role will encompass a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Leading a small team of up to four consultants through advanced analysis and modeling to uncover significant opportunities, guiding them and the client through successful delivery.
- Evaluating the proposed design for your workstream, developed in collaboration with the Principal Consultant or Business Manager on your program.
- Collaborating closely with program leads to align your workstream KPIs with client organizational outcomes and broader strategic goals.
- Establishing measurable KPIs for your team and the client, through effective governance that fosters a culture of ongoing progress reviews, ensuring successful delivery.
- Engaging on-site with client counterparts daily to monitor progress and address challenges, enhancing performance and building client capabilities.
- Crafting a compelling narrative for stakeholders—from frontline managers to senior executives—and working with program leads to communicate this effectively to senior client stakeholders, helping to remove any obstacles to progress.
- Proactively identifying risks and assisting in the adjustment of resources and commercial plans to keep the program aligned with objectives.
Successful candidates will be placed within one of our specialized clusters: Defence & Infrastructure, Public, or Consumer. During onboarding, your designated cluster will ensure you are integrated into the right client programs with the necessary support to adapt to Newton’s core program delivery approach. Once fully onboarded, you will have opportunities to collaborate across other clusters based on business requirements.
