Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED required.5 to 7 years of relevant experience or equivalent certification/trade experience. At least 1 year of supervisory, training, or mentoring experience. CFC Certification preferred or the willingness to obtain as necessary. Possess engineering and trade licenses as required by local, state, or national guidelines. Proficient in Microsoft Office, energy management software, CMMS, and other operational platforms. Knowledgeable about fire and life safety equipment and procedures. Demonstrated history of providing exceptional customer service and effective communication with tenants, vendors, and contractors.

We are seeking a dedicated Lead Building Engineer to manage the daily operations and maintenance of our building systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety. In this role, you will supervise engineering staff and contractors while maintaining high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operational efficiency of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
  • Manage service contractors to ensure adherence to building standards.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers and technicians, setting performance goals and evaluating their progress.
  • Work collaboratively with tenants, contractors, and property managers to ensure smooth building operations and address tenant concerns.
  • Coordinate with vendors to define scopes of work and monitor contract compliance and quality control.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the building and proactively address any deficiencies.
  • Implement and manage preventive maintenance schedules effectively.
  • Document equipment readings and ensure systems operate within standards.
  • Adhere to company safety protocols, ensuring compliance with OSHA, NEC, NFC, and NFPA regulations, and maintain safety training logs.
  • Communicate professionally with team members, leadership, vendors, tenants, and clients to keep all parties informed.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
