Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and validate advanced robotics software in C/C++ to ensure safe and comfortable behavior and control for Autonomous Vehicles. Lead team efforts in code quality initiatives, including design and code reviews. Offer technical support and guidance to the Technical Support Team for diagnosing and resolving issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish software and system requirements for AV behavior and control subsystems. Work closely with data science teams to create and implement metrics that capture key performance indicators for AV subsystems. Develop unit and simulation tests to validate vehicle performance across various operational domains. Oversee and perform on-vehicle tests to confirm software performance in real-world scenarios. Identify and analyze issues reported by commercial operations through the May Field Response process. Create tools and visualizations that empower support engineers to assess the performance of behavior and control subsystems using field data.
