Essential Qualifications:BSc in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field with at least 2 years of relevant industry experience. Demonstrated ability to generate accurate data and meet deadlines consistently. Hands-on expertise in molecular biology techniques, including PCR, PCR clean-up, and agarose gel electrophoresis. Experience with protein science techniques such as affinity-based purification, quantification, and SDS PAGE analysis. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Eligibility to work in the UK. Desirable Qualifications:MSc in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of industry experience. Prior experience in a Contract Research Organization (CRO) and/or within the biotechnology sector. Familiarity with liquid handling platforms like Opentron and KingFisher. Experience with automated electrophoresis systems such as the Fragment Analyzer. Understanding of cell-free protein synthesis technologies.

Role Overview

The Laboratory Technician - Service Fulfillment will support custom projects and DNA construct amplification using the eProtein Discovery Platform. This position requires following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions closely to meet project goals and timelines.

What You Will Do

  • Amplify DNA constructs for customer and internal projects
  • Carry out custom work using Nuclera’s eProtein Discovery Platform
  • Follow SOPs and work instructions to maintain consistency and quality
  • Organize and track samples and project progress
  • Meet deadlines in a laboratory setting where priorities can shift quickly

What We’re Looking For

  • Background in protein science, molecular biology, or a related field
  • Experience working in an industry laboratory
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work accurately under tight deadlines
