Join the talented team at thepeoplebrand as a Women's Merchandiser, where you will collaborate closely with the Director of Merchandising to strategically plan, develop, and execute our merchandise strategy. In this dynamic role, you will analyze market trends and leverage data-driven insights to optimize product assortment, pricing strategies, and inventory management. Your efforts will directly contribute to maximizing sales and profitability while ensuring our merchandise resonates with our brand identity and meets customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assortment Planning:
Engage in merchandising strategies and develop seasonal assortment plans aimed at creating profitable product assortments that align with our internal margin objectives. Collaborate with the Director of Merchandising on the maintenance of seasonal style line plans, including style number creation, color coding, and coding product variable data for our PLM system. Set and refine pricing strategies, considering competitive pricing, cost structures, and market dynamics to enhance sales and profitability.
Business Reporting & Analysis:
Support the monitoring of weekly sales performance, analyzing style trends and market dynamics to identify channel-specific needs and opportunities. Gain insights into target customers by visiting retail locations and conducting competitive analyses, which will inform and strengthen brand strategies. Assist in crafting inventory and markdown strategies that support company sales objectives.
M&D Calendar:
Work alongside the Director of Merchandising to maintain the design calendar and development process, ensuring timely completion of critical milestones. Contribute to Milestone Meeting preparations, including sketch reviews, line assortment reviews, proto reviews, pricing and margin reviews, and internal sales presentations.
GTM Calendar:
Collaborate with the Director of Merchandising to establish seasonal primary and secondary product marketing narratives. Develop creative briefs for production and complete Channel Boxes within the GTM Calendar.
Sample Management:
Coordinate with production to manage incoming photo samples. Organize, maintain, and prepare samples for merchant presentations and requests from business partners. Oversee the sample archive to ensure efficient management.
Wholesale and E-Commerce Asset Creation:
Partner with the creative team to formulate engaging product descriptions and create shot lists for seasonal photo assets. Work closely with our in-house photographer to ensure timely completion and quality of assets. Collaborate with the Director of Merchandising on styling for both men's and women's collections and assist in photoshoots. Review photo assets to ensure they meet company standards.
Collaboration:
Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including marketing, planning, and sales, to drive cohesive strategies and execution.
