Position Overview:
As a Wire Cutter, you will play a critical role in our operations by accurately and efficiently fulfilling wire and cable cut orders. Your expertise will ensure that materials are handled with precision while adhering to safety and productivity standards. Your experience and capabilities will influence your level and pay within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote a culture of safety by adhering to established Standard Operating Procedures and Environmental Health and Safety Rules, promptly addressing any safety concerns.
- Conduct daily machine inspections and operate material handling equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and productivity standards.
- Efficiently retrieve and cut wire for customer shipments, while inspecting for quality and removing defects.
- Accurately fill all customer orders, ensuring that outbound shipments are correct and undamaged.
- Set up wire reels on payout spindles, threading wire through feed rolls and adjusting machine settings for optimal performance.
- Organize and store merchandise appropriately, staging wire cuts for shipping as needed.
- Maintain productivity standards in wire cutting as per company policies.
- Report any damages to equipment or materials to a supervisor immediately.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
