AECOM is seeking a proactive and skilled Water and Sewer Systems Technician to join our Milwaukee, Wisconsin office. Our team is engaged in a variety of projects across the Midwest, which include potable water leak detection, flow monitoring, sanitary sewer condition assessments, rehabilitation work, hydraulic modeling, and improvements to sanitary sewer systems, pump stations, and conveyance systems. The ideal candidate will possess a background in planning and conducting studies related to sewer and water systems, condition assessments, and asset management.
The responsibilities of this role encompass the following:
- Utilizing established experience in conducting investigative tasks on diverse sewer and water studies, including leak detection in water distribution systems, condition assessments, infiltration and inflow investigations in sewer systems, and detection of illicit discharges.
- Crafting cost-effective, technical solutions to address client challenges on assigned projects.
- Initial responsibilities will involve fieldwork, leading to opportunities in proposal preparation, budgeting, system analysis, and report writing. Some travel will be necessary during field operations.
- Collaborating with project team members and various client representatives to deliver high-quality service while ensuring that all documentation aligns with client and company standards.
- Working in conjunction with other departments across AECOM offices.
- Supporting engineering staff with a range of tasks.
- Monitoring and documenting compliance with quality, performance, safety, and code requirements.
- Tasks may include assisting in engineering calculations, setting up and operating relevant equipment, inspecting equipment and engineering installations for adherence to specifications, and maintaining project documentation.
- Developing a general understanding of procedures and company policies to meet established objectives and deadlines.
- Executing routine duties, recognized as fully competent within the bounds of experience.
