About the job
Cory Group is gearing up for the handover of Riverside 2, our second Energy from Waste facility, which is set to launch later this year. As the new Warranty Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the plant operates reliably and efficiently during the initial defects liability period. This is an exceptional opportunity to engage at the core of one of the UK’s most important sustainability infrastructure projects and the largest energy-from-waste campus in the country.
In this position, you will monitor and assess the plant’s performance utilizing our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and related reporting tools. You will analyze availability data, track performance against contractual guarantees, and identify any underperformance or emerging defects. Your analyses will have a direct impact on operational decisions and strategic responses during the early operational phase.
A significant aspect of your role will involve managing warranty-related processes: documenting and tracking issues, differentiating between Cory Group’s and OEM responsibilities, and facilitating commercial back-charge processes. You will lead vendor meetings, collaborate closely with our Legal, Commercial, Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations teams, and keep senior management informed of any critical developments.
You will also aid in long-term plant optimization by contributing to maintenance strategies, spare parts strategies, and defect resolution methods. This hands-on, impactful role is ideal for someone who is proactive, organized, and confident in a fast-paced engineering environment, with occasional travel to vendors and partners.
