About the Role
As a Visual Merchandiser, you will play a pivotal role in delivering an inspiring and cohesive customer experience by upholding visual standards and promoting commercial excellence. Your responsibilities will include executing visual, commercial, and styling curation in accordance with established guidelines. You will leverage your awareness of trends and competitors to equip your colleagues with essential insights, coaching them to enhance their skills and contribute to an exceptional customer experience.
A Day in the Life
At H&M, no two days are the same, but typical responsibilities include:
Customer Sales & Profit
- Enhance the overall OMNI customer experience in your store through effective visual and commercial curation (in-direct)
- Act as a positive representative of yourself and the H&M brand during customer interactions (direct)
- Organize and prioritize your workload in alignment with the store activation plan, collaborating with your Store Management team and Area Visual Manager to adapt to business needs
- Implement and maintain the latest global campaigns and sales activities in a timely manner, adhering to H&M brand standards
- Ensure proper garment care and stock levels, providing input on allocation to Store Management and Area teams
- Conduct follow-ups on sales reports (KPIs), identifying and prioritizing visual and commercial opportunities in collaboration with the Store Management team
- Develop actionable strategies to boost customer satisfaction and achieve sales targets, store goals, and budgetary objectives in collaboration with the Store Management team
- Adhere to all procedures, best practices for OMNI services, operational routines, legal requirements, and effective communication across all store areas with the Store team
Fashion & Trend Awareness
- Stay informed about the latest fashion trends, styles, products, brands, competitors, and relevant influencers
- Dedicate time to understanding trend theory and styling techniques, utilizing mood boards to enhance product presentation and anticipate customer needs, thereby improving the in-store shopping experience
Team Development
- Share insights and inspire your store teams by keeping them updated on seasonal changes, fashion trends, and relevant visual and commercial information
- Coach and develop the Store team’s visual and commercial skills to ensure high-quality product and commercial presentation in line with guidelines
- Support and enhance daily routines and best practices for your Store team to maintain consistent visual and commercial standards while delivering excellent customer service.
