As a Virtual Primary Care Physician at Curai Health, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional, patient-centered primary care through innovative virtual services. You will engage with patients across the United States via video consultations, real-time chat, and secure messaging, all supported by our cutting-edge AI-driven technology and proprietary electronic medical records (EMR) system.
This is a full-time, remote role that requires a reliable high-speed internet connection. Your schedule will be flexible, based on organizational needs, and may include varied days and hours to ensure comprehensive 24/7/365 care delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver at least 36 hours of patient care weekly, ensuring empathetic and high-quality treatment in a virtual environment. Clinical responsibilities include:
- Performing thorough virtual assessments and diagnoses, alongside evidence-based treatment planning for patients of diverse ages and backgrounds.
- Managing and coordinating care for patients with chronic illnesses.
- Providing preventive care, wellness counseling, and health education to foster overall well-being.
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and lab results.
- Prescribing medications in compliance with state and federal laws.
- Coordinating referrals and prior authorizations.
- Managing scheduling and follow-up communications.
- Completing various administrative tasks, including:
- Accurately documenting all tasks and communications in the EMR.
- Timely completion of compliance, continuing medical education (CME), and licensing requirements.
- Staying updated with clinical knowledge and processes through meetings, training sessions, or other resources.
- Participating in clinical quality assurance and process improvement initiatives.
- Aiming to meet or exceed established performance metrics related to patient satisfaction, documentation accuracy, response times, clinical quality metrics, and productivity standards set by the organization.
- Acting as a supervising physician for assigned Nurse Practitioners, offering oversight, chart reviews, care consultations, and mentorship in alignment with relevant state laws and internal collaboration agreements, which may include virtual visits as necessary.
- Ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Performing any other duties as assigned.
