As the Vice President of Operations at Century Communities, you will spearhead the construction team, guiding projects from inception through to completion while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. Reporting directly to the Division President, you will enhance existing processes and systems, playing an integral role in the management of the construction process and overall field operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Construction Management:
- Deliver high-quality Century homes on time, aligning with the Division's financial objectives.
- Act as the primary liaison and manager for all construction field personnel, ensuring top-notch quality from subcontractors, architects, and engineers.
- Coordinate build schedules and address outstanding construction issues.
- Oversee building schedules to guarantee timely deliveries.
- Lead recruitment, training, and management of all construction staff.
- Ensure accurate reporting of construction statuses.
- Assess subcontractor performance and provide evaluations.
- Oversee quality control, quality assurance, and compliance with EPA and OSHA regulations.
- Serve as the contact for third-party risk engineering and construction insurance providers.
- Maintain the appearance of all communities and model homes.
- Review ongoing work to ensure adherence to plans, specifications, building codes, and company standards.
- Recommend improvements to existing and proposed plans, ensuring all necessary adjustments are completed.
- Manage costs, achieve budgeted margins, and enhance profitability.
- Authorize payment approvals for subcontractor invoices.
- Customer Care Oversight:
- Lead and manage the Director of New Home Warranty, Warranty Coordinator, and Customer Service Representatives.
- Establish and oversee customer care policies to ensure complete satisfaction for homebuyers.
- Address any customer complaints and continuously seek improvements to enhance survey results and overall customer experience.
- Leadership Responsibilities:
- Plan, direct, and evaluate team performance.
- Provide recommendations to the Division President regarding promotions, transfers, salary adjustments, and disciplinary actions.
