Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer of Talent and Corporate Affairs at RCL-Reitmans Canada, the Vice President of Human Resources is a high-level strategic HR executive recognized for their ability to enhance organizational performance, shape culture, and elevate leadership effectiveness.
This role positions HR as a trusted, impactful partner capable of translating business priorities into actionable, forward-thinking practices. The VP of HR promotes modern, data-driven HR solutions supported by digital tools to enable the organization to attract, retain, and develop talent while minimizing friction, enhancing collaboration, and preparing for sustainable growth.
This individual will be responsible for building a world-class HR function that balances operational excellence with innovation, integrates HR into business decisions, and continuously evolves talent strategies to meet the current and future needs of the organization.
Your Strategic Contribution to the Organization
1. HR Strategy and Execution
- Define and lead HR strategy aligned with business priorities, workforce trends, and future organizational needs.
- Oversee HR operations, business partner HR, total rewards, and health & safety, ensuring efficiency, clarity, and measurable impact.
- Position HR as a reliable strategic partner enabling leaders and teams to achieve their objectives and promote cultural excellence.
2. HR Partnerships and Integrated HR Pods
- Lead integrated HR Pods aligned with business sectors, combining HR business partners and functional experts.
- Transform HR business partners into integrated strategic partners actively contributing to leadership decisions and business outcomes.
- Design a seamless HR service model that fosters accountability, collaboration, and consistent results.
3. Talent, Performance, and Leadership Excellence
- Collaborate with centers of expertise to ensure the adoption of best practices at scale and their integration with business priorities.
- Enhance leadership capabilities among leaders through coaching, mentoring, and structured talent development initiatives.
- Incorporate modern leadership skills, agility, resilience, and digital fluency into talent and leadership programs.
