The Enterprise Operations Workforce Management team plays a pivotal role in collaborating with third-party vendors to onboard and manage hosts on the Airbnb platform. As the Vendor Performance Manager, you will be the key operational leader overseeing vital vendor partnerships essential for scaling and overseeing the Homes program.
Your Impact:
This position is remote and based in Toronto, Canada. Please note that relocation support is not available for this role.
In your role as Vendor Performance Manager, you will define the strategic vision and governance for Airbnb's global vendor ecosystem. You will establish standards, incentives, and operational models that position vendors as strategic drivers of growth, cost efficiency, quality, compliance, and risk management. As a senior advisor, you will interpret operational and market signals into actionable recommendations, align leadership on priorities, and ensure executive visibility through comprehensive performance narratives. You will also oversee contract and policy alignment, enhance workflows, and build accountability frameworks that elevate vendor performance from operational execution to lasting business impact.
A Day in Your Life:
- Lead portfolio-level performance initiatives and governance across multiple strategic vendors, establishing targets, incentives, and corrective actions to achieve business goals.
- Convert complex operational insights into executive-ready narratives and strategies, facilitating decision-making among senior stakeholders and vendor leaders.
- Coordinate and propel cross-functional initiatives with teams in Policy, Legal, Product, Finance, and Enablement to address complex, multi-stakeholder challenges and mitigate operational risks.
- Conduct in-depth analyses to uncover root causes, foster accountability, and implement corrective measures.
- Formulate and negotiate recommendations with senior stakeholders to balance growth, quality, cost, and risk, fostering consensus and securing decisions.
- Oversee regular business reviews across the vendor portfolio; monitor results, enforce governance, and ensure accountability among partners.
