Role Overview
The Transport Planner will collaborate within a team to plan, book, monitor, and report on transport routes across Europe, the UK, and Ireland. This role encompasses managing designated accounts with primary responsibility.
The ideal candidate will excel in administrative tasks, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures and addressing all inquiries and requests promptly and professionally. Responsibilities include preparing documentation, maintaining files, and managing financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan shipments and routes to maximize resource efficiency while maintaining service level agreements (SLAs) with clients.
- Ensure adherence to EU working time directives and relevant road safety regulations.
- Monitor all shipments in transit actively, providing timely updates to colleagues and customers.
- Update all milestones in accordance with SLAs.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, overseas offices, and internal teams to ensure schedules are met.
- Collaborate with clients and ATC operations to maintain high service levels.
- Work in unison with clients’ supply chain functions to ensure accurate reporting and adherence to schedules.
- Adapt to changing customer demands seamlessly.
