About the Role:
The Thermal Engineering team at Planet Labs is on the lookout for a passionate Thermal Engineer to lead the thermal design analysis and testing for our spacecraft and subsystems. In this role, you will be pivotal in refining thermal designs from conception through to execution, contributing to the overall design of our spacecraft. Ideal candidates should be enthusiastic about Planet’s mission and excel in a team-oriented environment. This position is perfect for those eager to elevate our satellite designs and production through innovative technologies. As a key member of the Thermal Engineering team within Planet's Space Systems division, you'll collaborate closely with Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Qualification, Mission Operations, and Manufacturing teams, as well as other leading-edge spacecraft design groups.
This is a full-time, hybrid position, requiring you to work from our San Francisco office three days a week.
