Given our rapid pace of development, we need someone who can keep documentation up-to-date, treating any discrepancies as critical issues.
Our support team relies on accurate documentation to assist customers, and our AI functionalities depend on this information as well. Misinformation leads to delays and frustration.
We deal with complex concepts that require clarity. A well-informed developer can create exceptional solutions, while confusion can lead to churn.
This position reports directly to the VP of Product, highlighting the importance of documentation in our overall product experience.
While AI can generate content, it lacks the ability to verify its accuracy. Your expertise will be essential to ensure that all materials are reliable.
What You'll Do:
First 30 Days:
Gain hands-on experience with the Vapi platform. Create and break components to understand functionality.
Review all existing documentation critically to assess its quality.
Identify the top three questions developers frequently ask and provide comprehensive answers.
Collaborate with the support team to uncover common pain points.
Draft and publish your first documentation piece, gather feedback, and refine it accordingly.
Next 60 Days:
Take ownership of the developer-facing documentation lifecycle: API references, quickstart guides, tutorials, knowledge bases, FAQs, and more.
