Join our dynamic team at Solarvest Energy Sdn Bhd as a Technical Solution Engineer specializing in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). In this pivotal role, you will manage the complete commercial and technical sales cycle for our Commercial & Industrial (C&I) customers across Malaysia. We seek a candidate with a robust technical understanding of BESS, comprehensive knowledge of TNB RP4 tariffs and policies, and a disciplined approach to pipeline management via CRM, steering projects from inception to closure.
- Oversee the entire BESS sales lifecycle: from lead qualification, technical feasibility assessments, and solution design to proposal creation, negotiation, and successful handovers.
- Serve as the principal liaison among customers, OEMs, and internal engineering, procurement, and project teams.
- Drive deals to completion, ensuring technical compliance, commercial viability, and obtaining necessary internal approvals.
- Develop and present innovative C&I BESS solutions to meet customer needs.
- Exhibit a strong understanding of TNB RP4 tariff structures pertinent to C&I clients.
- Advise clients on the value propositions of BESS under RP4.
- Ensure compliance of BESS proposals with TNB interconnection requirements, grid codes, and safety standards.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the BESS supplier landscape, including Battery OEMs, PCS vendors, and both containerized and modular BESS solutions.
- Lead technical and commercial negotiations with suppliers during the bidding process.
- Build, manage, and maintain a BESS-specific sales pipeline within the company’s CRM system.
- Provide accurate monthly and quarterly forecasts based on project readiness.
- Utilize CRM data to track win rates, cycle times, and pipeline health metrics.
- Facilitate the structured handover of closed-won BESS projects to execution teams.
- Document all RP4 assumptions, operational logic, and customer expectations thoroughly.
- Support the early execution phase to navigate variations, change orders, and upsell opportunities.
