Who will you work with?
You will join our dedicated team that provides technical support for Wabtec's diesel-electric locomotives. Your daily responsibilities will take place within our client's maintenance workshops, collaborating directly with the maintenance team to offer necessary technical recommendations and guidance. Additionally, you will interact with our Materials, Quality, Processes, and Engineering teams not only in Brazil but globally.
How will you make a difference?
You will ensure the proper functioning of our products at client sites, working in the equipment and component repair lab to support field technical assistance teams. Your efforts will help prevent or minimize operational downtimes in our clients' fleets while adhering to the company's established quality, productivity, service, cost, and safety, health, and environmental metrics. These activities contribute to the maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of sold or existing products, including all types of maintenance services (preventive and corrective), management of maintenance equipment/tools, and field service engineering.
What do we want to know about you?
A technical degree in electrical, mechanical, electrotechnical, electromechanical, electro-electronic, or related fields.
Knowledge in electro-electronics.
Experience in maintaining industrial equipment and/or locomotives.
Desirable knowledge of NR-10.
Basic English proficiency.
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Organizational skills and creativity.
Ability to work in a team.
What will your day-to-day look like?
Work in the locomotive repair lab and its components.
Collaborate with the development team to enhance projects.
Provide support for field technical assistance on client products, offering guidance on technical specifications and ensuring the fleet's proper operation.
Conduct fault diagnosis, fleet performance analysis, maintenance, and inspection services across all client site areas.
Analyze damaged or malfunctioning locomotive parts to identify causes and warranty eligibility.
Assist client maintenance teams in repairing locomotives under warranty, preventing or minimizing operational downtimes.
Support the commissioning process of new locomotives in the field, providing initial technical assistance for customer operations.
Investigate root causes of non-conformities in products using specific analysis methodologies.
