Join Our Team as a Systems Engineer I
ProcureTeq is seeking a dedicated Systems Engineer I to support our technical operations. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of two years of hands-on experience in PC/network helpdesk or technical support environments. A degree in computer science or a related field is preferred. Candidates with at least two entry to mid-level IT certifications, such as A+, CCNA, or Network+, will be given priority. A solid foundation in IT concepts coupled with a willingness to learn new applications and hardware is essential. Familiarity with technical security systems, such as CCTV, alarms, and access control, is beneficial but not a requirement.
The Systems Engineer I will be responsible for:
- Administering daily updates to the database tracking tool.
- Collecting weekly operations support action reports.
- Compiling database metrics on a weekly basis.
- Assigning new work orders to operations support technicians/engineers promptly.
- Monitoring network and systems status using SolarWinds and addressing issues as needed.
- Performing Tier I troubleshooting, including server resets, user accounts management, and SNMPc checks.
- Providing statistical reporting data on post communications links under the guidance of the lead network engineer.
- Tracking network outages and maintaining meticulous logs.
- Configuring Cisco and Nortel devices and preparing them for shipping.
- Updating the database regularly.
- Managing the NOC daily, ensuring technical issues are addressed, and maintaining documentation accuracy.
- Promptly acting on and closing all tickets.
- Imaging and configuring workstations as directed by the system administrator.
- Maintaining the operations support duty roster.
- Security Clearance: Secret required.
