Key Responsibilities as a SysOps Engineer:
Software & Infrastructure Management
- Application Lifecycle: Oversee the lifecycle of IP-Label software suites.
- Deployment: Set up and configure measurement networks in various environments, including Cloud (AWS/Azure) and Physical infrastructure (Systems & Networks).
- Administration: Manage and maintain system and network architectures to guarantee high availability.
Operations & Security
- Monitoring: Oversee systems and applications to preemptively identify performance bottlenecks or failures.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and rectify system outages or malfunctions as they arise.
- Security: Implement and oversee IT security protocols related to SysOps activities to safeguard data integrity.
Support & Documentation
- Technical Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for technical issues, providing Level 1 support or directing users to relevant specialized resources.
- Knowledge Management: Document operational procedures and contribute to the internal knowledge base to enhance team efficiency.
Work Conditions:
Shift Work: Must be able to work night shifts and rotating schedules to ensure 24/7 operational continuity.
On-call: Availability for on-call support during weekends or holidays as needed.
Requirements:
Education & Experience
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in a similar role is highly advantageous.
