Duties and Responsibilities:
Proficiently cutting, slicing, and filleting various fish and vegetables
Following training manuals and specifications to create sushi rolls as per guidelines for each kiosk
Inspecting the quality of fruits, vegetables, and seafood used for sushi preparation, notifying the Senior Team Leader of any quality concerns
Preparing an array of sushi dishes adhering to company standards regarding quality, portion sizes, presentation, and food safety
Possessing a thorough understanding of food waste and cost implications and their impact on kiosk goals
Setting high expectations for cleanliness in the workspace to prevent food contamination
Reporting any kitchen equipment issues to the on-duty manager
Ensuring all utensils and equipment used in sushi preparation are sterilized prior to use
Welcoming and communicating with customers to ensure they feel appreciated
