We are currently looking for a dedicated Support to the ACT Mission Security Coordinator to join our team for an upcoming NATO ACT initiative based in Norfolk, VA. This position presents a unique opportunity to engage with an international company that excels in providing information systems, technology solutions, outsourcing, and application development services to government and non-governmental organizations.
Work Location: Onsite in Norfolk, VA.
Employment Type: Contract (1099/B2B)
Compensation: $40-48/hr USD
Language Proficiency: High proficiency in English is required.
Security Clearance: NATO Secret clearance is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate reports from the ACT travel database (FINs) to pinpoint high-risk destinations and critical travel locations for HQ SACT personnel.
- Gather and assess security data from various sources, including open-source intelligence (OSINT), classified reports, and local security advisories to evaluate risks and threats prior to travel.
- Deliver comprehensive security briefings to HQ SACT travelers, offering tailored advice on security protocols, local risks, and mitigation strategies aligned with their specific missions.
- Formulate security plans for high-stakes events and missions, ensuring adherence to NATO's security policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities at event sites and provide actionable recommendations for risk mitigation.
- Lead site surveys to evaluate potential vulnerabilities at venues, generating actionable security reports and strategies based on findings.
- Review attendee lists for non-NATO participants and assess counterintelligence (CI) risks, identifying potential security threats to NATO personnel and operations.
- Prepare security briefs for management approval, coordinating the format with FP Staff Officer and FP Assistant.
- Be present at host venues during events to support Delegate Assistance Centers/Registration.
