As a Structural Insulation Designer at Sogeclair, you will play a vital role in developing innovative solutions for thermal and acoustic insulation systems, ensuring they meet production and performance standards. Your expertise in 3D and 2D modeling will support internal teams while addressing technical challenges in real-time.
Main Responsibilities:
- Design and develop components, assemblies, and insulation systems according to client requirements and industry standards.
- Create 3D models and 2D drawings while considering insulation constraints, space requirements, and environmental factors.
- Integrate thermal, acoustic, and anti-vibration materials into your designs, balancing performance, weight, and installation constraints.
- Prepare, interpret, and modify technical plans, drawings, and specifications for various types of structures and insulation systems.
- Ensure that all designs comply with applicable standards (aerospace, fire safety, thermal/acoustic performance, etc.).
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to effectively integrate your designs into the production process.
- Provide technical support to production, particularly regarding assembly and installation challenges related to insulation systems.
- Engage in research and development activities aimed at enhancing thermal and acoustic performance.
- Document and maintain technical documentation and quality procedures.
- Analyze modification requests and propose optimized solutions.
- Assist in submission activities and workload planning.
- Participate in design reviews to validate concepts regarding feasibility, tolerances, and interfaces.
- Share technical knowledge and contribute to continuous improvement in design practices.
- Perform any other related tasks as required.
