We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Structural Engineering Support professional at the journeyman level. This role is primarily focused on supporting the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center WAM (AFLCMC/WAM) directorate, specifically within the F-16 division at Hill Air Force Base, UT.
The F-16 “Viper” program, headquartered at Hill Air Force Base, operates with additional units at Wright-Patterson, Tyndall, Eglin, and Davis-Monthan Air Force Bases. The F-16 is a versatile multi-role fighter jet, providing air-to-air, air-to-ground, and surveillance capabilities for the United States Air Force and Coalition Partners. With over 4,500 jets produced for 24 nations, the F-16 program boasts the largest Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program in U.S. history, with production orders extending through 2030. Additionally, the program encompasses the Multi-National Fighter Program (MNFP), a unique cooperative development initiative established in partnership with several countries since 1975.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the technical lead in diagnosing and resolving structural issues related to the F-16, facilitating improvements, integration, verification, and qualification processes for airworthiness certification, and overseeing the implementation of repairs and modifications in line with program requirements.
