- Oversee all aspects of structural engineering projects, from initial concept and schematic design to budgeting, scheduling, and project closeout, ensuring successful project delivery.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, nurturing relationships, managing expectations, and securing their satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build and sustain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to promote collaboration.
- Work closely with architects, contractors, and various engineering disciplines to ensure the structural systems integrate seamlessly with other design elements.
- Participate in project meetings, monitoring timelines and budgets while engaging with clients to ensure optimal project outcomes.
- Contribute to proposal development and drive business growth through networking and client engagement.
- Manage the Quality Control process, ensuring adherence to building codes, company standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices across all projects.
- Lead the preparation of detailed drawings, specifications, and structural analysis, strictly following codes such as IBC, ASCE-7, AISC 360, and ACI 318.
- Utilize Revit/BIM software for design coordination and drawing production, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in construction documents.
- Identify potential project risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Conduct field observations to document existing conditions and collect critical data for project planning.
- Manage the construction administration phase, assisting contractors with drawing interpretation and coordinating solutions.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a supportive work environment that champions professional development.
- Handle administrative tasks as needed to ensure smooth project operations.
