Join our dynamic team at Enprotech as a Field Service Technician, based in the Elizabethtown, KY or Lansing, MI regions. In this crucial role, you will travel to various customer facilities to oversee, manage, and execute hands-on tasks involving the disassembly, repair, and assembly of mechanical and forging presses, both subassemblies and complete units.
Key Responsibilities
- Prioritize safety by ensuring compliance with PPE requirements.
- Lead and supervise maintenance and repair activities involving both customer and Enprotech personnel.
- Act as the primary liaison at customer sites for daily operations and planning.
- Assemble, repair, and rebuild manufacturing equipment according to standard operating procedures and customer specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, and other documentation for accurate equipment assembly.
- Disassemble and reassemble metal forming presses, which includes rigging and various fitting tasks.
- Install lubrication systems including blocks, lines, and plumbing for pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic lubrication systems to diagnose and implement necessary repairs.
- Align machines and equipment utilizing hand tools, jacks, and measuring instruments.
- Employ basic hand tools, such as ratchets, torque wrenches, and hydraulic jacks.
- Inspect parts to ensure they are prepared and free from defects prior to assembly.
- Conduct quality checks using process inspection tools to verify standards are met.
- Operate small lathes and mills for polishing and key-making tasks.
- Utilize cranes, forklifts, and other rigging equipment safely.
