Join IPS as a Shift Controller, where you will take charge of managing production lines and workforce to achieve set volume and commercial goals while adhering to quality assurance and safety standards. Your role will be pivotal in setting a standard for best practices and providing vital support to Line Leaders as needed.
Rotational shifts include: 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, and 10pm-6am.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspire and motivate your team to consistently meet production targets.
- Ensure that all final products comply with client specifications (SPI).
- Optimize production efficiency to meet hourly and daily plans.
- Utilize integrated management systems effectively.
- Promote and adhere to best practices in line with health, safety, and quality regulations.
- Maintain accurate paperwork and systems as per company protocols.
- Ensure compliance with hygienic audits, both internal and external.
- Strictly follow good manufacturing practices (GMP) and housekeeping protocols.
- Assist in developing a comprehensive skills matrix for production staff.
- Participate in Line Leader meetings and relevant training sessions as required.
- Support in identifying and developing Line Leaders for succession planning.
- Facilitate training and onboarding for new employees.
- Act as a role model for best practices.
- Monitor and minimize waste effectively.
- Engage actively in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct Return to Work (RTW) assessments for line workers.
- Participate in the company’s Personal Development Program (PDP).
- Conduct disciplinary investigations in line with company policy.
- Serve as a machinery knowledge specialist.
- Proactively pursue personal development through training and hands-on experience.
- Manage assigned production output and address issues as they arise.
- Provide coverage for the Area Manager during their absence.
- Engage with customers and clients as necessary.
- Be prepared to cover a variety of shifts to support the management team.
- Perform additional duties as required, within the scope and grade of the role.
