As a SHEQ Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and compliant working environment for all employees, operatives, and external stakeholders. You will manage adherence to SHEQ management systems while fostering a customer-centric approach towards clients and their representatives.
This position is primarily remote, but you must attend training sessions at our Warrington office a few days weekly. After training, your role will be field-based across the South Midlands and South Region. A full UK driving license is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate daily, weekly, and monthly SHEQ reports for clients and directors, covering incidents, toolbox talks, audits, etc.
Champion the SHEQ “Zero Harm” strategy in all operational activities.
Oversee the maintenance and management of SHEQ policies, safety training programs, and document control systems.
Review, develop, and audit SHEQ management documentation to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
Prepare and deliver updates on legislation, toolbox talks, safety alerts, and bulletins.
Conduct data analysis related to SHEQ, maintaining accurate records and reporting on KPIs and objectives.
Manage updates and reporting for SHEQ software (e.g., Eco-online).
Schedule and conduct site audits in collaboration with external auditors (e.g., SHEA, Oracy), and maintain an audit matrix.
Encourage and document hazard, incident, and near-miss reporting.
Mentor and support the development of SHEQ coordinators.
Participate in and occasionally lead SHEQ project meetings.
Perform additional duties as required.
