The Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA) is seeking dedicated individuals to apply for the full-time, permanent position of Service Coordinator for Hotel and Holiday Services at the Shearwater Hotel, Ballinasloe, Galway.

As a Service Coordinator, you will play a vital role in the daily operations of the holiday services, overseeing staff management, enriching guest experiences, and enhancing hotel partnerships.
Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the seamless operation of the IWA Hotel Holiday Service in the West of Ireland. This will encompass daily administrative tasks, staff support, and a commitment to providing high-quality services that empower our guests to achieve maximum independence and community integration through a person-centered approach. You will also be tasked with mentoring and coaching staff as well as managing the delivery of person-centered holiday and respite services in accordance with IWA standards.
Liaison Responsibilities
Success in this role requires building and nurturing key relationships within IWA, including collaboration with Association staff, particularly the CNM2 (Line Manager), and engaging with IWA members and service users. Externally, you will establish and develop promotional connections with relevant voluntary and statutory organizations, HSE staff, hotel management, and other local stakeholders.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and monitoring of IWA's standards for Holiday Services.
- Develop and manage IWA Holiday Services at hotel locations across the West of Ireland.
- Oversee an in-home respite service in collaboration with other IWA services.
- Conduct guest requirement assessments, risk evaluations, and medication support planning for incoming guests.
- Identify opportunities for guests to enhance their social participation during their stay with IWA.
- Collaborate with relevant HSE representatives.
- Prepare necessary reporting information for both internal and external use.
- Ensure staff compliance with all IWA clinical protocols.
