About the Role
As a Service and Monitoring Specialist at Treantly, you will play a vital role in ensuring the operational excellence of our solar systems post-installation. Your primary responsibility will be to validate system functionality and readiness for monitoring. You will ensure that each solar installation is properly configured, accurately metered, and reliably reporting before the activation of PTO and funding. This position will involve remote troubleshooting, coordinating with installation teams as necessary, and managing RMAs to achieve optimal performance and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead post-installation system validation and monitoring readiness to confirm that every installation is properly set up and functional prior to PTO approval and funding activation.
- Configure and maintain monitoring platforms post-installation for effective performance tracking and data integrity.
- Validate commissioning data and metering/CT configurations to ensure accurate production and consumption reporting.
- Map solar arrays after installation to verify alignment with as-built plans and monitoring requirements.
- Conduct remote troubleshooting for systems that are not reporting correctly; identify root causes across various components.
- Coordinate corrective actions with installation teams when on-site visits are necessary to resolve service issues before PTO approval.
- Manage RMA cases with manufacturers, coordinating replacements and re-commissioning efforts to restore full monitoring capabilities.
- Ensure systems meet criteria for funding activation and escalate issues related to data quality or functionality.
- Collaborate with Funding, Installation, and Post-PTO Service teams to ensure effective communication and timely issue resolution.
- Maintain accurate records and case notes in CRM/internal systems.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in remote service or troubleshooting support in the solar industry.
- Strong knowledge of solar systems and familiarity with operational monitoring systems like ENPHASE, SolarEdge, and Tesla.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; capable of effectively interacting with internal teams and external partners.
- Attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy in all aspects of work.
