The Senior Voice User Interface (VUI) Designer will play a pivotal role in crafting engaging and user-friendly voice experiences for Interactive Voice Response (IVR) applications across speech and DTMF channels. This position is responsible for the complete design of call flows and conversational interactions, ensuring our IVR solutions are not only user-friendly but also effective and in line with our business objectives.
Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with Product Owners, IVR Engineers, Application Architects, and speech scientists. You will bridge the gap between customer experience design and technical execution by translating complex requirements into intuitive call flows, detailed design specifications, and actionable user stories that guide development efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing user-focused IVR experiences for both speech and DTMF applications.
- Collecting and analyzing business and user requirements for IVR applications.
- Creating comprehensive call flows for IVR experiences based on speech and DTMF inputs.
- Drafting design specifications and documentation to support IVR implementations.
- Collaborating with Product Owners to enhance and refine voice user experiences.
- Developing user stories for developers and speech scientists to realize design concepts.
- Assisting speech scientists in grammar design and tuning processes.
- Conducting usability tests and interpreting results to enhance IVR performance.
- Optimizing IVR applications to improve recognition accuracy and overall user experience.
- Effectively communicating design rationale and methodologies to stakeholders.
