About the job
What You’ll Do
Lead comprehensive research initiatives for key user journeys: Identify research priorities, plan and conduct various research methods (interviews, usability tests, concept and prototype validation, journey mapping) to reveal friction points, unmet needs, and growth opportunities within core buyer and seller processes.
Enhance decision-making during the discovery phase: Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Designers from the outset to validate problem statements, evaluate hypotheses, and define success metrics prior to engineering investments.
Transform user insights into actionable product strategies: Synthesize research findings into clear, actionable recommendations that inform prioritization, scope, and design choices. Effectively communicate trade-offs and implications to empower teams to proceed with confidence.
Establish usability testing as a vital quality checkpoint: Implement efficient, repeatable testing processes for critical user flows (search, listing, posting, lead, chat) across mobile and web platforms, enabling early issue detection and enhanced user experience quality.
Create scalable insight resources: Develop journey maps, pain-point libraries, and summary documents that teams can consistently refer to, minimizing re-learning and fostering consistency in decision-making.
Integrate qualitative insights with behavioral data: Collaborate with Product Analytics to align user feedback with actual user behavior, facilitating clearer go/no-go and iteration decisions after testing and post-launch.
Enhance research credibility and trust: Ensure high participant quality, unbiased moderation, and thorough documentation so stakeholders can confidently rely on insights to inform their actions.
