ABOUT THE JOB
The Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager, Radio serves as the key authority for radio frequency and wireless systems commodities, including transceivers, antennas, amplifiers, and communication modules. This proactive, high-impact role is critical in securing essential components, materials, and services that drive our innovative products. You will be instrumental in forging new supplier relationships and sourcing partnerships that enhance both new and existing product technologies, cost-effectiveness, and quality. This role requires extensive collaboration across various internal functions to assess supplier opportunities while ensuring that commercial agreements, intellectual property, and statements of work are meticulously defined before implementation.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Formulate and implement commodity strategies for radio components focused on reducing costs, enhancing quality, and bolstering supply chain resilience.
- Take complete ownership of delivering quality parts as required, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Act as the sourcing authority for electromechanical manufacturing.
- Lead the RFI/RFQ/RFP and strategic sourcing initiatives for electromechanical commodities.
- Manage the business relationship with external Contract Manufacturers, ensuring supply continuity, risk management, cost negotiations, and seamless transition from NPI to MP operations.
- Collaborate with the Engineering team and Contract Manufacturers to influence technical design specifications and customize product and manufacturing requirements.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of quote submissions, examining cost breakdowns and making data-driven decisions based on Total Cost of Ownership.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support prototype requirements, meet build milestones, and spearhead sourcing activities.
- Influence Contract Manufacturers’ manufacturing processes, capital expenditures, and technology choices.
- Negotiate essential agreements with suppliers to ensure optimal terms and conditions.
