With a minimum of 7 years of experience, this full-time remote role focuses on the design and implementation of large-scale national health data platforms. You will play a critical role in developing secure and interoperable architectures for various health registries and screening programs.
The ideal candidate will ensure seamless health data interoperability using HL7 FHIR standards, facilitating secure and high-volume health information exchange.
Key Responsibilities
System Architecture & Design
- Architect scalable and secure repositories for national disease registries (e.g., Cancer, Diabetes, CKD) and longitudinal screening programs.
- Define robust system architectures that accommodate large-scale population health data and long-term clinical data storage.
Interoperability & Standards Leadership
- Lead the definition and implementation of HL7 FHIR (R4/R5) profiles, implementation guides, and RESTful APIs to enhance data exchange.
- Ensure consistent application of healthcare interoperability standards across systems and stakeholders.
Foundational Registry Architecture
- Design core healthcare registries, including:
- Patient / Client Registry (MPI)
- Health Provider Registry
- Master Facility List and Services Registry
- Guarantee accurate identity management and unique identification within the health ecosystem.
Data Modeling & Transformation
- Transform legacy clinical data formats into standardized FHIR resources.
- Facilitate cross-platform data exchange through standardized models.
Security, Privacy & Compliance
- Integrate Privacy by Design principles across all architecture.
- Ensure adherence to national health data regulations and global standards (e.g., HIPAA/GDPR equivalents).
- Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms using OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and encryption standards.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Serve as the technical liaison between public health authorities, clinical experts, and engineering teams.
- Translate policy, regulatory, and clinical needs into scalable technical solutions.
Architecture Governance & Documentation
- Develop and maintain comprehensive architecture documentation, including system diagrams and integration specifications.
