In this hands-on role, you will create, develop, and scale innovative features across our platform while acting as a key data engineering subject matter expert.
You will take ownership of pivotal product features, crafting data-driven experiences that deliver critical insights to business stakeholders. Your guidance will shape our data architecture and ingestion patterns, and you'll not shy away from rolling up your sleeves to ensure project success, including tasks like data wrangling when necessary.

Your Responsibilities
Back-End Product Development
Design, develop, and maintain robust features using TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
Architect and implement scalable APIs, real-time data processing, and AI-driven functionalities that enhance student-university interactions.
Oversee the entire feature development lifecycle from technical design to implementation, testing, and deployment.
Create in-product experiences that offer insights and analytics to university stakeholders, fostering data-informed decision-making.
Data Engineering & Analytics
Design and implement ETL pipelines and data transformation workflows to drive analytics and reporting.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to create and maintain Looker dashboards, turning requirements into actionable visualizations.
Develop data models and aggregation layers that support efficient querying and real-time analytics.
Enforce data validation, change management, quality checks, and monitoring to maintain data integrity across all systems.
Data Architecture & Infrastructure
Act as the data engineering SME within the engineering team, providing insights on data architecture decisions and best practices.
