LEGAL
What We Do
Epic's diverse team of attorneys and legal experts collaborates across the organization to deliver legal solutions and provide counsel on the products we create and the games we develop.
What You'll Do
As a member of Epic’s regulatory team, you will advise on newly implemented laws and regulations globally, while closely collaborating with our Public Policy Team to track regulatory changes. Working hand-in-hand with subject matter experts, Product Counsel, and the Compliance Team, you will oversee the design of compliance programs and educate counsel on regulatory mandates. Additionally, you will aid in the company’s responses to regulatory inquiries and investigations.
In this role, you will
- Advise senior management, Product Counsel, the Compliance Team, and Legal leadership on significant global laws and regulations, including online safety frameworks.
- Lead strategies for multi-stakeholder regulatory compliance.
- Provide legal analysis on legislative and regulatory drafts to the Public Policy team.
- Support advocacy and engagement with regulators and trade associations.
- Respond to global regulatory inquiries and investigations.
What We're Looking For
- A qualified attorney with a minimum of 8 years of experience in regulatory compliance, whether in a regulatory agency, in-house, or at a law firm.
- If located outside of North America, a willingness and ability to consistently work during US Eastern time zone hours.
- Experience handling regulatory enforcement actions initiated by regulatory bodies.
- Prior experience or substantial understanding of the tech industry, particularly in technology or video games, is advantageous.
- An individual adept at navigating a multi-stakeholder environment, managing complex issues, driving high-risk projects, and making well-informed decisions.
