As the commercial lead, you will ensure projects adhere to all commercial administration procedures while fostering a collaborative environment with clients and managing subcontracts and supply chains effectively.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Contract Management:
- Negotiate subcontract terms and conditions.
- Oversee payments for specialist subcontracts and key suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms and obligations.
- Report monthly using the Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) process.
- Coordinate changes and manage variations in accordance with JCT Contracts.
- Analyze impacts of changes and assess liability exposure.
Contract Administration:
- Monitor and track contract obligations, performing site visits as necessary.
- Report on contract performance regarding program, cost, and key issues.
- Ensure successful contract closeout, validating all terms and payments.
- Collaborate with clients and subcontractors throughout all phases.
Budget Management:
- Work with project teams to evaluate budget impacts.
- Capture and report on cost variances.
- Collate Defined Cost Records for client audits.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Generate monthly Cost Value Reconciliation and Earned Value Analysis reports.
- Validate subcontract applications and payments data.
- Maintain change registers and prepare monthly valuations.
- Provide commercial insights for reporting.
